Jack and His Men- Fighting Back and Fighting Hard

After four months of torture, beatings, electrocution, and chains, the Northern Alliance forcibly took Jack and his men out of Karzai's Saderat Extreme Interrogation facility.  They have survived SEVEN al-Qaida assassination attempts. (Kabul 9/27/2005) Two Top Official Sources used by the Press against Idema and his team have "resigned" after being accused of   illegal activities, poor security, and links  to terrorism and Pakistani Intelligence Agencies.  Karzai and the US State Department originally brokered a deal for them to stay on, but after a special report by Afghan TOLO TV the dismissals are final.

Voice of the Mujahadeen- Page 1 DariAFGHAN PAPER CALLS IDEMA NATIONAL HERO- DEMANDS RELEASE

Afghanistan's largest Paper calls Idema and Team Mujahadeen Heroes on Day After Election

(9/21/05)
Voice of the Mujahadeen, an independent newspaper published by the Massoud Hero Foundation, and the Mujahadeen and Martyrs Group has called for the immediate release of Idema and his team and called them national heroes.  The paper contains secret letters to President Hamid Karzai, pictures of Idema rescuing Afghan children, and an exposé of the terrorists that Idema's team captured.

On Monday Afghan Television called Idema's judge a criminal and a danger to freedom in Afghanistan.  Tolo TV has called Supreme Court Chief Judge Sheik Shinwari a criminal who has "run the courts by threats of murder against honest judges," and taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes "while keeping innocent men in prison."

THIS IS JALALI'S CLAIM:

"I was a top Colonel in the Afghan Resistance against the Soviets and I am the author of many books. I wrote..."

Afghan Guerrilla Warfare: In the Words of the Mujahideen (sic) Fighters
    and

Bear Went over the Mountain: Soviet Combat Tactics in Afghanistan

THIS IS A BIOGRAPHY  JALALI WROTE:

"About the Author
Ali Ahmad Jalali is a former Afghan Army Colonel schooled in military science in the United States and Britain. He joined the Mujahadeen in 1980 and served as a top military planner on the directing staff of the Islamic Unity of Afghan Mujahadeen."  Note: this is also the claim on his Afghan Government Resume

First Fraud- I wrote the Book:

Jalali was not the author of either one of these books.  He wrote not a single word.  The books were assembled by Lester W. Grau who is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and graduate of the U.S. Army Russian Institute, and a leading source on Russian and Soviet tactics and operations.  Grau has written many more books.

Second Fraud- I wrote it from my experience:

Lester Grau and Ali Ahmad traveled to Pakistan in the 1990s to interview about 40 Mujahadeen (Holy Warriors) fighters about their perspectives on the war.  Lester Grau hired Jalali as a translator.  Lt. Colonel Grau put together one hundred interviews done by the Soviets, and reporters, himself, and others, into a series of tactical vignettes that are organized by topics, such as ambushes, raids, urban combat and defending base camps.   The ONLY thing Jalali did was translate the book for Grau.

Third Fraud- I was a Colonel and joined the Mujahadeen in 1980 and fought the Russians:

Jalali claims to have been an Afghan Army Colonel who joined the Mujahadeen in 1980 and served as a top military planner on the directing staff of the Islamic Unity of Afghan Mujahadeen.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE LIES:

Abd-i-Rab Rasoul Sayaf, was the chairman of the indigenous fundamentalist guerilla coalition known as the "Islamic Unity of Afghan Mujahadeen." Sayaf agreed to allowed Osama bin Laden's Arab recruits to use his Salman al-Farisi training camp in Konar.  By April of 1985, twenty-five volunteers were enrolled in the first official Arab-Afghan guerilla training course.  The entire force of the Islamic Unity Group had only 200 Mujahadeen fighters by 1985.  There were no ranks, official or otherwise, and there were never any ranks in ANY of the Mujahadeen groups.  There were no lieutenants, no majors, no colonels.  The Islamic Unity Group worked with Abdullah Azzam their new sponsor and confidant was none other than Osama bin Laden.   Sayaf later turned against bin Laden and fought al-Qaida.   But Jalali, was neither a Colonel, or even a private in this group.  There were no Darganwals (Colonels)-- never.  Jalali was not even in the guerilla army, he never attended any Afghan military training, and he was simply a "party member," a political supporter of Sayaf's politics.  The commander of the guerilla army was Sayed Abdul Ghafoor, who never heard of Jalali. When it actually came time to start fighting the Russians, Jalali fled Afghanistan into Peshawar where he has given refugee asylum by the United States in exchange for providing information to the CIA.  Jalali left Afghanistan before Sayaf turned against bin Laden, and Jalali left.  According to Commander Parwan, one of the most battle-experienced Mujahadeen in Afghanistan, and one of the founding members of the Islamic Unity Group, he never heard or met Jalali.  The group did not start military operations against the Soviets until 1983 and Jalali fled the country in 1982.

Mashal 159x.jpgSpokesman Lutfullah Mashal, a former Taliban-linked journalist, and spokesman for Jalali was the man that said terrorists were found hanging upside down and tortured in the Task Force Saber Compound.  No Evidence has ever been shown to support this, and it is now widely acknowledged that it NEVER happened.  Now that the Parliament elections are over, so are Jalali and Mashal.  Both US citizens, it is expected that legal action will be taken against them in the US Courts in the very near future. Jalali was allowed to submit a voluntary resignation and return to America rather than be arrested.

September 22, 2005-
Kabul Investigative Reporting Team

(Kabul) Ahmad Ali Jalali is a Pashtun who fled his country 39 years ago.  He became a translator at Voice of America Radio in Washington, DC, where he worked for several years in a low-level US government job until 9/11 when his knowledge of the Pashtun language became valuable to the US government.  Jalali also worked as a consultant for FOX News, and for other journalists, as did Mashal- his spokesman.

With no experience in any government position, no experience in security or the internal affairs of Afghanistan, Jalali was appointed to the cabinet by Hamid Karzai, and took his post while he was still a US government employee.  His family lives in Maryland, where he frequented Mahmood Karzai's Helmand Restaurant.  Mahmood is the brother of Hamid Karzai.

Massoud The Lion 159x190.jpgUpon taking up his post in Afghanistan, Jalali quickly forged a relationship with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation  previously investigating Jalali in the United States for ties to Taliban and terrorist financing.  Now working together, Jalali was the minister who ordered Jack Idema's arrest in July 2004.  Jalali had previously given lectures calling for the arrest of all Northern Alliance commanders loyal to Ahmed Shah Massoud, calling them "warlords and criminals."  It was Jalali who began a concerted campaign against American allies in Afghanistan who had fought with Special Forces teams in 2001 and 2002.

Khalilzad 2 159x190.jpgThe US State Department sought to implement a "power-sharing agreement" with the Taliban to quell the continued resistance in the south.  The only way to do this was to dismantle Massoud's United Front Military Forces that had fought the Taliban and al-Qaeda.  It had been made clear to Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad that Massoud's Northern Alliance would not allow or stand for senior Taliban officials being released and returning to government positions.

Mashal 159x.jpgJalali and Mashal falsely told journalists that "innocent Afghans were found hanging upside down in the basement of Idema's house."

Journalists like NY Times Reporter Carlotta Gall not only failed to report that there was no basement, but that there was NO evidence that any of the things Jalali and Mashal alleged were true.  Gall also failed to report something she later admitted in a private conversation, that "Mashal is the most unreliable source in Afghanistan.  I never use him as a source because he always lies to me."  In spite of this Gall used him as a source, as did every other journalist because what he was saying was "too juicy and it sold newspapers," according to other journalists.

Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad: SERVED !

Constitutional Violations 240x.jpgEven though Khalilzad has been sent to Iraq, and the case against him has now been moved to the Federal Court in Washington, DC, he is in for extended litigation for: 1) violations of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, 2) Denial of FOIA Requests critical to the defense, and 3) for stopping the release of all men on behalf of the FBI, among other things.

Ed Artis Case Settled in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 2, 2005 minutes before trial

Artis The Phony Knight 215x170.jpg "Sir" Edward is a self-appointed "Knight of Malta." In Afghanistan he likes to talk about how the Vatican Knighted him for his work. He likes to wear military awards that he didn't earn, like the Bronze and Silver Star.  Artis was facing serious litigation, and a serious jury trial which began August 2, 2005, and settled before a jury was picked.  Jack Idema and his lawyers have refused to comment.  The court files have been sealed and there are no further details.  Artis was being sued for the same thing many other people are in line for-  he claimed that Jack's 8mm VideoX al-Qaida Tapes were fake.

Maxim Magazine: You've Been Served

Stolen Images 215x170.jpgMaxim Magazine has been placed on notice for copyright infringement in the latest onslaught of civil cases Jack's lawyers are preparing to file.  So has their sister magazine STUFF, which also engaged in knowing copyright theft.  Maxim's lawyers have claimed fair use and said they had a legal right to steal the pictures.

NY Magazine: You've Been Served

More Stolen Images 215x170.jpgNew York Magazine is facing serious copyright infringement claims, based on documents and photos that were stolen from emails, using fake documents, knowingly false sources, knowingly false information, and their involvement in a criminal conspiracy.  In April 2005 they were served with a letter from Jack's lawyers ordering them to retain all documents, emails and evidence for discovery in upcoming litigation against them.  They have also been served with deposition notices, and Idema's lawyers say they will file suit within 90 days.

Voice of the Mujahadeen- Page 1 DariAFGHAN NEWSPAPER DEMANDS RELEASE OF IDEMA & TEAM

Afghanistan's Voice of the Mujahadeen calls Idema and Team Mujahadeen Heroes on Day After Election

(9/18/05) Today's Voice of the Mujahadeen has a two page spread written in the Farsi language with information never before revealed about the [Idema] case.  It also features a prominent photo layout of Idema praying at National Hero Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud's grave in the Panjshir surrounded by photographs of Massoud taken throughout out his life.  Massoud was killed on September 9, 2001 by Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorists just two days before the 9/11 attacks.  The front cover of the paper shows Massoud's picture from the front, and Idema's back standing guard in an Afghan village.  There are also several pages in English, apparently aimed at US and coalition security forces.
