The Mail Bag
Jack and
his guys have
gotten mail from
supporters all over the world
by APO, US Postal Mail, DHL, Airborne, and Federal Express.
US Mail is Free- unless your postmaster is illiterate. If your
mail gets returned (sorry)
let their lawyers know, because the
bureaucrats at DOS have a legal, ethical, and moral obligation
to deliver it.
DO NOT PAY POSTAGE- Mailing is Free by Law
Update:
July 11, 2005-
In December 2004
US Consul Russel Brown was ordered by Ambassador
Khalilzad to return all mail sent to them. We have been told
by friendly military intelligence officers that Khalilzad
ordered this as retaliation because their lawyers threatened,
and then did, file a suit
against Khalilzad (info
on Khalilzad lawsuit). Some mail has been returned. If your mail
gets
returned, we request your help by sending a copy of the
returned envelope to their lawyer (John
Tiffany). If it is a box, then cut the top off with
whatever Brown wrote and please mail it to their lawyer. Most importantly, if you really want to help
them, write a letter of complaint to your Senator and Congressman,
and the Postmaster General stating that Ambassador Khalilzad
is violating the Geneva Convention and refusing American
prisoner's mail. This is completely illegal. We have
been told that Russel
Brown will be served with a special lawsuit shortly - For info:

Care Packages:
We are grateful for the care
packages that we have received from all over the United States.
Because food and resources are limited in Afghanistan (although
the Pulacharke officers now go to GREAT lengths to feed us) many
people have sent us tuna fish, spices, Ramen Noodles, Chicken
Soup. These things are greatly appreciated. We
cannot overemphasize our appreciation and thanks from the people
that have sent us cards and packages. Many people have asked
what we are allowed to get here. We can receive
just about anything. Just put it in a box
and ship it to us. No explosives please....
If you would like to know what we
could use:
-
Spices (great for prison
rice)
-
Ramen Noodles
-
Chicken Noodle Soup
-
Old Magazines and Newspapers
(we get no news)
-
Old DVDs (Yes we have a
DVD player)
-
Old Videotapes (Yes we have a
VCR)
-
Basically, we appreciate
anything
-
PS: MANY THANKS to Rita
from Fort Bragg/ Fayetteville
who sent us more than 50 Beanie
Baby Bears in March 2005.
They were wrapped and each officer got at least two for their
daughters.
They ALL
send their Thanks!
The Officers at Pulacharke
Prison could also use some
things
(they only get paid about $40 per month). Used,
new, old, or
any condition,
all is appreciated:
-
Socks, Gloves (no matter how old or used)
-
US military thermal wear or Long
underwear
-
PR-24 Batons (for all you
police out there)
-
BDU Belts, any sizes
-
Used bulletproof vests
-
Desert Boots/Black Boots (even used
ones are great)
-
Pots and pans, old
utensils
-
Women's clothing for
their wives
-
Children's clothing (same
deal as above)
-
Children's toys and stuffed
animals, even used and old
You can send it all care
of Jack to General Zorodin and it will be delivered to
Pulacharke and put to good use by our American allies.
Contrary to weblog lies, Jack has brought in hundreds of
thousands of dollars in aid for the people of Afghanistan.
All paid for by Jack, or donated by his family and friends, but
he has NEVER accepted a single dime of donations in cash, check,
or any currency; only clothes, books, military gear, and medical
supplies- all for the Afghans that fought the Taliban and
al-Qaida.
Thanks,
TASK FORCE SABER/7
Here are some more
letters to the SuperPatriots. This is what people really
think, in spite of the crap that the papers
and "reporters" are
putting out:
8.20.04
Dear Mr. Idema,
I hope this letter finds its way to you.
My name is Penny & I’ve been following your story for a very
long time now. I’ve seen numerous pieces about you on MSNBC,
Fox, CBS, etc. I’ve read all the postings &
articles on American & Arab websites, as well. But what really
stands out in my mind was when I saw you on Imus a while
back. No matter what your reasons or methods are – you get it.
You see the big picture of all the bullshit that is happening
both there & in the states. It seems to me people have
forgotten what happened 9.11.01 –– but I can’t,
for many days afterwards, I worked at a triage at ground zero.
It started as a search and rescue but very quickly turned into a
search and recover. Everyone had known from day one there would
be no survivors, but it was never said out loud. The whole
time, I just kept looking around me and what I saw was what I
always imagined hell would be like. That was also when I
stopped having “gray” opinions and to see the world just in
black and white. Time and time again, you have proved to be a
true American hero, in every sense of the word. What is
happening now to you and your friends is so horrible and
completely unfair. You have shown nothing but courage and
patriotism in your actions.
You’ve been fearless and relentless and
courageous in your actions. The last thing they should be doing
to you is charging you with any wrongdoings. This country and
that country should be giving you medals. I hope to God,
everything turns out well for you and this mess just goes away.
We in America need people like you, so we can feel secure and
sleep at night. Some day I hope to have the opportunity to meet
you and say thank you in person.
God speed –––

Where
and How Can You Reach Them?
A
Personal Message from TF SABER 7:
Well, as we explained on the About
Us Page, we are living pretty well now, all things considered.
It is one of the most infamous prisons in the world, where more
than 20,000 people were executed by the Russians, and God knows
how many by the Taliban. But the fact is, that our friends
here, the officers that know what really went down in our case,
treat us pretty darn good. Sure, there are lots of things
we don't have, and lots of things we wish we had, but all in
all, we turned the tables on our enemies, and did it with no
small help from our Northern Alliance friends, the men who were
loyal to America against al-Qaida and the Taliban, and remain
loyal to America and us.
Back at
the FBI-NDS Saderat facility that is used to "legally"
torture anyone and everyone they choose to, we were not allowed
any contact with each other, family, friends, or the outside world.
We were tortured, beaten unmercifully, chained, burned, some of
us electrocuted for days, and starved with just two cups of rice
and a piece of bread each day. Now, at Pulacharke Prison, they place few restrictions on us
and help us as best they can.
Pulacharke
Prison is one of the most infamous prisons in the world.
The Russians killed 20,000 people here, and the Taliban probably
killed at least that many although no one knows. It is
surrounded by mountains and deserts and multiple walls. In
the past 100,000 prisoners were housed here. It is not a
place you want to be. But for us, we have little to
complain about; the officers here treat us well.
Pulacharke is called impenetrable, but as they teach you in
Special Forces SERE
School, nothing really is.
One last thing that is
really important-- Our families and others sent
information, pictures, and money to Flogging the Simian because they thought it would help us.
You should ALL KNOW that the Floggin site was actually being
used as a front to con people into sending them information that
could then be sent to people like Ed Artis and Chris Thompson,
who were already being sued for a variety of crimes, such as
stealing money destined for charitable
purposes, and stealing money from the widows and orphans of Special Forces soldiers
killed in Afghanistan (in the case of Chris Thompson). You can
check out the backgrounds of these people in the legal section
and in the press section regarding sources. Please, if anyone
has emails, or letters, or anything else regarding Floggin the
Simian, please send it to us. We will be serving them with
a federal lawsuit in the very near future and could use any help
we can get regarding evidence and information. You can
send it to us, or to our lawyers, at the addresses to the left.
These people use a variety of cover
addresses, email forwarding accounts, and other means to conceal
their identities, so anything that will help us link them to
specific acts will be extremely helpful.

Thanks Again. Sorry for the
ranting and raving, but you know how things get when you're in
the world's most infamous prison surrounded by 500 al-Qaida
terrorists trying to kill you 24 hours a day. Actually,
you probably don't. Well, try to imagine.
Courage Forward,
TASK FORCE SABER/7
Here are some of the
letters the SuperPatriots have been receiving from family and
friends. Since weblogs seem to getting copies from the
Embassy and illegally posting the mail, we figured we'd post a
few legally:
1.24.05
Dear [Jack],
As you can see here, some of my mail is
apparently not getting to you. I’ve used at least 4 different
addresses hoping at least some would filter through. So now I
wonder where all the other letters and packages I sent have gone
to.
I was hoping by now, you and your friends
would be released. Heard about the riot and was relieved to
know you’re all safe. Luck or kismet, has kept me in the loop.
Which helps. I can’t believe how you continue to endure this
ordeal. The word hero is used too loosely in a lot of
instances, but this word truly exemplifies you. I know it
doesn’t look like much, but I really believe this little pin
brought me luck when I was working at ground zero. If nothing
else, unlike a lot of others, I haven’t been experiencing the
aftereffects from the toxic air, so who knows… Anyhow please
keep this pin and know there are Americans like myself, who will
keep the faith. [Note: she enclosed a 9/11 World Trade Center
Pin given to the cops, fireman, and rescuers].

Hello son [Brent],
I heard there has been a delay again. How
are you doing? Did you get the package yet? I sent it through
the address that xxxxx gave me. He’s a very nice man. We have
been sending out more letters requesting a Congressional Hearing
on the conduct and involvement of the FBI, CIA, etc. A lot of
things are changing in our government right now and in
Afghanistan also. I get so frustrated when I receive a reply
like “we’re monitoring the situation.” I ran across a website
last month where they used real newspaper articles about the 3
of you but people could log on and change them and add things to
try and make them funny. I read the last few paragraphs and got
pissed off. So I bet you know what I did next! I added onto
their story telling them that while they (the website) and the
other readers were making fun of this situation, 3 Americans
were left in prison in Afghanistan after trying to make the
world we live in a little safer and that they and their readers
needed to grow up. Signed by me along with my email for anyone
who may feel the need to reply…”
Stay well, Love Mom
P.S. say hi to Eddie and Jack
February 11, 2005
Dear Ed,
Just wanted you to know we are
all thinking about you guys. Do any of these journalists
writing these articles realize that it could happen to any one
of us? Just think about it, you're embedded with the
Marines or a Ranger patrol in Iraq and next thing you know
you're all captured and they're charging YOU with war crimes
against Iraq (think the 1991 war and the first months of the
last war- when Saddam could be conducting the trial.
I guess all our fellow "tv people" in NY forgot about covering
9/11 and losing friends. Anyway, hate to ramble, you get
the picture. Hey, I'm enclosing some stuff for you, figure
food isn't easy to find, hope you like the Beef Jerky and the
Cheese Nips.
Hey, one last thing, every
network reporter I talk to says you have balls of steel- what
journalist ever survived through some shit like this before?
Stay tough, and I can't wait to
see your film,

Dear B [Brent],
I hope this letter will get to you and find
you in good health (mentally and physically). Happy belated
birthday. When you get home we will have a big party!!! I hope
you know how much we love and support you. We may have a small
family, but we love each other very much and support each other
(no matter what) we are survivors! I have been wanting
to tell you, we are very proud of you. I haven’t forgotten
September 11th (like some people) or the reason you went to
Afghanistan. You are very brave and strong……. Never forget
that…
…I have read all kinds of articles about
your situation. I wish we could talk about this. You know your
mom, aunt xxxx and I are really involved with getting you home
and not a day goes by we aren’t talking about you and how to
make this happen… Please remember how much we love you B
and never give up!
Freedom endures.
We love you,

Dear Brent,
…It is hard for us in our back-water
mountains to understand the world today. I envy those who are
so sure of everything! If there is anything I can send you, to
make your life a little more tolerable, please let me know. I
am not a real religious person, but I’ve sure been doing a lot
of praying lately… My son just retired after two tours over
there, and my nephew is about to retire.
I believe you all are doing the right
thing, but the price is incredible –––
You are in our thoughts.

Hello son,
How are you all doing? Mr. Tiffany said
that you had been moved to some place safer after the attempt on
Ed’s life [at NDS]. In the last few months I have talked to a
lot of people all over the U.S. and the world. I know deep
inside that this is all going to work out, even if I have to
become a pain in everyone’s ass. I hope these letters and cards
get to you. I also don’t want to say too much in case these are
censored…
Be safe – I love you
Mom
December 3,
2004 (received April 12, 2005)
Jack,
My Christmas
wish is that none of you get these packages, because you are
home. I don't go a night without praying for your
perseverance. If we don;' see you home by Christmas, we
will keep trying like crazy... the fight will continue for
your release.
Rita
J Paw Paw, Michigan

Note From Task Force Saber 7:
WOW- Just got 3 Christmas packages
from Rita in Paw Paw, Michigan- Unbelievable, three boxes of
great stuff, Gummy Bears, Slim Jims, Chocolate Chip Granola
Bars, Dinty Moore Beef Stew, blankets and gloves -- we passed
the gloves and Cartoon Clay on to the children of officers here.
Interestingly enough, Rita sent the box on December 3, 2004, and
we got it on April 12, 2004 - it was sent directly to
Afghanistan and the mailing costs were $130, so
remember, you can mail or UPS ground to the Dulles, VA, address
above and it only takes three weeks (this one took a long time
because the US Consul had banned our Christmas mail in and
out and finally decided to deliver
it, but only after we sued Khalilzad in a NY Federal Court).
