The Sources of
Deception |

Sir Edward, as he loves to be called, is a Knight of the Sacred Realm of the All Powerful All Seeing Courageous Knights of Malta. He has been knighted by the Vatican, carries a Vatican Diplomatic Passport, is the recipient of the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and numerous other US Military medals for Valor, Bravery, and Courage under fire in Vietnam and the Dominican Republic. Sir Edward is a Green Beret, a Navy SEAL, and Airborne Paratrooper with a combat jump, and a highly experienced Combat Medic, oh, and a former Master Sergeant too. Sir Edward is a hero, a bona fide, guaranteed, 100% red-blooded American hero. Just ask him and he will tell you. He will also show you his medals, and his PhD. That's right, he is a Doctor too. His doctorate is in Philosophy, at least that's what it says on the diploma. In reality, Edward Artis is a doctor of deception. His knighthood is phony, bought in Russian from Russian mobsters. His medals are fake, his life is fake, his awards are fake, but his PhD is real-- he bought it for $3500 from an online "paper-mill" that is now defunct. He bought it with money obtained from donations from people that thought they were buying medicine for impoverished nations. He claims to distribute millions of dollars in aid per year. His IRS Tax forms for his Knightsbridge International charity tell a far different story. You can get them online by searching for the websites that post §501(c)(3) public charity non-profit company tax returns. Compare his tax returns to his claims on websites and in the media-- you will be on the floor laughing. Jack sued Artis three years ago. The case goes to court on August 2005 in Los Angeles Superior Court. That's when a jury, a real jury of Americans, will decide if he is lying or if Jack is lying. Artis has admitted under oath that his medals are fake, and many other things that cannot be printed now because there is a Court Order sealing the information until trial. Ed Artis is a consistent source for the press. But the press fails to mention that Ed Artis is an admitted liar, an admitted fraud, and an admitted felon- it is a federal felony under U.S.C Section 18 of the United States Code, to wear the medals "Sir" Edward has worn. And it is a felony to solicit donations for his aid organization wearing his fake regalia. So what we have here is an admitted felon, who has built his humanitarian aid career on the bodies and blood of American soldiers who really earned their medals. Any doubts of this you can contact USMA (West Point) PAO, and they can provide FOIA pictures of Artis wearing fake heroic medals at a West Point event. By continuing his promotion of false stories, Sir Edward helps keep Jack and his men in jail. He needs to do that because if Jack shows up at trial Artis loses everything, including his phony life. UPDATE- APRIL/MAY 2005: After seeing Ed Artis' statements in Columbia Journalism Review and New York Magazine, then reviewing Ed Artis' SEALED deposition under oath, a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge issued a restraining ORDER AGAINST Ed Artis which prohibits him from speaking to the press about Jack Idema until the trial is concluded. If he gives another bogus interview he will be held in CONTEMPT OF COURT. Another victory for Jack and his guys. |
A Personal
Message Direct From Jack: Look Folks, I know this site seems pretty angry, but I want you to try and imagine the frustration of seeing you and your families dragged through the mud by every journalist in the world, who write their stories based on lies built on lies, with no evidence, no documents, no proof. Imagine being powerless to respond or stop it, and seeing it escalate month after month as you lose everything you have, your house, your personal possessions, your family, and are physically, financially, emotionally, and mentally ruined across the face of the globe based on the accusations of three TERRORISTS, that have all committed murder, have all been in prison for terrorism, and have all since admitted lying. Am I mad, damn right I am. And now it is my turn to have my say, in my own words. Like I said on the opening page, the Floggin punks who attack us and our families daily and influence US policy but hide in Romania (exactly why is America not good enough for this supposed "American?") have steered this story long enough. Using lies, and tainted sources, they have built an intricate web of complex lies. To do that they defrauded our family and friends into sending them information, which they then distorted and altered. They stole emails, US Mail from PO Boxes, copyrighted images, and privileged correspondence between us and our lawyers. What they couldn't steal, they made up, like alleged emails and letters I wrote- documents that did exist, but were altered or changed to twist the truth and then "retyped" in the "interest of clarity."

Cafasso:
aka Colonel Cafasso, Delta Force Commander: Colonel Joseph Cafasso is frequently named as a "Special Forces source," a "Former CIA agent," a "former CIA operative," a "Green Beret who has asked not to be identified for fear of reprisals," a "decorated Special Forces officer that has requested he remain anonymous for fear of litigation," and numerous other similar descriptions in everything from Floggin, Associated Press, New York Magazine, to the prestigious Columbia Journalism Review, just to list a few. Colonel Cafasso, like Sir Edward is a highly decorated Delta Force Commando, who has been awarded three Silver Stars for Valor in Combat, Air Medals for Valor, at least one Bronze Star for Valor, and participated in Operation Eagle Claw- the Delta Force rescue attempt of American hostages in Iran. His military record is impressive. His comments, commentary, and expert opinions have been cited in more than twenty articles about Jack Idema and the Afghan court case. Cafasso has also claimed that the al-Qaida videotapes Jack captured in 2001 in Afghanistan were fake. Colonel Cafasso used to be a Military Advisor for FOX NEWS, which relied heavily on the good Colonel's exceptional knowledge of Special Operations to guide FOX's coverage of the 2001/2002 war in Afghanistan. In reality, Colonel Cafasso spent a total of 47 days in the Army and was given a General Discharge as being unsuitable for service. He left the Army at the same rank he had 47 days before when he enlisted- as a Private. If you don't believe us, search the NY Times Article "At FOX News- The Colonel Who Wasn't." We have a copy online in our archives- just click here. This is rich, think about it, Private Cafasso, like Artis, managed to defraud the American people, FOX News, and fifty press agencies into believing that he was also a bona fide American hero. Private Cafasso's only experience with war and special ops, was at the movie theater, where he probably wets his pants. So can someone please tell us why none of these brilliant journalists like Mariah Blake (CJR), Tod Robberson (Dallas Morning News), Stacy Sullivan (NY Magazine), etc, etc, have never figured this out when Cafasso's 47 day military career is documented by the NY Times and all over the internet (search the VeriSEAL website for the full story about fake conmen exposed by real soldiers, real heroes, and real Navy SEALS). There are two reasons why Cafasso really hates Jack and fills inexperienced journalists with packs of lies. First is because, unlike Cafasso, Jack is the real deal, and nothing breeds contempt, hate, and fear like jealousy. Second, is because Jack helped expose Cafasso for what he really was, a fraud, and a million people read about it in THE HUNT FOR BIN LADEN- read the excerpt in the column to the left. UPDATE- MAY 2005: Cafasso has LOST the case in California Superior Court. A judgment has been issued against Cafasso in favor of Jack Idema. Another May victory for the guys ! |
"The Fox News Channel was having a myriad of problems … with their “Military Expert and Senior Consultant,” Retired Green Beret Lieutenant Colonel Joseph A. Cafasso. Cafasso was interacting with the Pentagon and Green Beret operators on the ground so that FOX could bring real-time combat reporting to the American public. The problem was that “Colonel” Cafasso was a fraud. He was neither a Green Beret nor a Colonel, having spent just a short time in the military before being discharged. In fact, Cafasso was using FOX News to provide misinformation to the public, and using his phony credentials to gain access to confidential Special Operations information. At one point, Cafasso even recommended to the Special Operations Command that they assassinate an American advisor [Jack Idema] on the ground in Afghanistan.
Apparently, Cafasso and FOX News were upset that CBS 60 Minutes II had obtained captured al-Qaida training footage from the advisor that Cafasso and FOX News had wanted first. Cafasso was willing to go to any lengths to get exclusive FOX coverage, even through an assassination. Green Berets began a covert investigation into Cafasso and leaked his phony credentials. The New York Times published a story a short time later, called “At Fox News, the Colonel Who Wasn’t.” You can read that story here: CAFASSO |

Let's get one thing straight about this self-proclaimed terror expert- HE HAS NEVER EVEN BEEN TO AFGHANISTAN !!!!! And, he has never even seen, no less met, a terrorist, either at lunch or on the battlefield. Yet Warrington is proclaimed as an expert source on al-Qaida, who states he thinks Jack's 8mm VideoX al-Qaida Training Tapes were staged. "In a nutshell, the videotapes are forgeries," Warrington states in Mariah Blake's article. Warrington also claims he "was looking at 7 hours of tape of something that al-Qaida doesn't do." Unless Warrington was viewing these tapes at a Defense Intelligence Agency office, or at the Pentagon or CIA, he is a liar because the seven hours have never been released, only roughly 20 minutes has ever been released. So there is lie number ONE. Stacy Sullivan’s impugning of the integrity of the 8mm VideoX al-Qaida tapes, which she states in her tag line “may have been faked,” is already getting her sued. But in the body of the article, not only does she accuse Jack of faking them, she asserts that the CIA did a voice analysis. That actually had us laughing for a moment. Is this reporter so stupid as to think the CIA has time to voice analyze tapes for the media, when they don’t even have enough time and experts to analyze 15% of the NSA monitored conversations of known al-Qaida operators and operations? Do you actually think that any part of the US government would admit such a thing as saying the tapes were fake, or even talk about such a thing? What did the Boston Globe say about the tapes two years ago? And what did CBS 60 Minutes II say AFTER showing the tapes to the top counter-terrorist expert in Afghanistan, a former Delta Force commander and US Army general? Warrington fails to mention, as do the reporters quoting him, that he wrote an email three years ago accusing Jack of bombing civilians (maybe he got confused after watching Geraldo Rivera on FOX News talking about friendly fire in Kandahar). Warrington wrote the email from his CUBIX Corporation email account. Suffice it to say that CUBIX was not happy about the letters they started receiving from Jack's lawyers. Apparently now Warrington claims he is a "terror consultant" but gives no employer. Well, "terror consultants" in this day and age are a dime a dozen, the question is have they ever really fought terrorists? Warrington was long out of the Army before Special Forces "Anti-Terrorist teams" were formed, but Sullivan forgot to check this out, also referring to Warrington as a "Deputy Commander" of a Special Forces counterterrorism unit. In reality, Warrington was an assistant team leader (that means he had ten men in his "command" and eight that actually had to listen to him). His boss was a Captain, and anyone that knows anything about Special Forces knows Captains don't have much to say in the scheme of things. His team was a ski team in Massachusetts, not a counter-terrorist team, although it makes for good bullshit at a bar. By the way, the next journalist that uses this guy as a source, ought to ask to see his Special Forces Qualification Course diploma, his SOT diploma (the Special Forces Counter-Terrorist course) and his 201 file. Here's how Sherrie Gossett at Accuracy In Media quoted him: "But Tracy-Paul Warrington, former deputy commander of a Special Forces counter-terrorism team and a civilian intelligence analyst for the Defense Department, told CJR, "In a nutshell, the videotapes are forgeries." Warrington said the tactics shown had been abandoned by Al Qaeda, and that the area where the footage was supposedly filmed was under coalition control." Problem is that Warrington has never been to Afghanistan. Here's what CJR said in their laughable article: "Special Forces soldiers, other journalists, and Army Intelligence immediately questioned the tapes’ authenticity. Tracy-Paul Warrington, formerly a chief warrant officer with U.S. Special Forces who now advises American police forces on counterterrorism, says the tapes are not an intimate look at anything—except clumsy military playacting. “Eighty-five percent of terrorists’ attacks in the last decade have been bombings,” Warrington says. “In this film we see raids. This was a method that went out in the seventies, when Idema was in the Army. I was looking at seven hours of tape of something that Al Qaeda doesn’t do.” Another retired Special Forces soldier, and a longtime acquaintance of Keith Idema’s, contacted CIA sources and learned the agency had similar concerns about the tapes’ authenticity. “The CIA ran voice analysis on the tapes and concluded they were staged,” he says, adding that the agency didn’t publicize its findings because it “didn’t want to waste its time on someone it considered harmless.” Contacted about this claim, CBS spokeswoman Kelli Edwards said the network “showed the tape to...a top U.S. military official in Aghanistan [sic], who told us that, in his opinion, the video was authentic.” In the terror-charged atmosphere of early 2002, in any event, there was no public outcry over the piece’s authenticity." Hysterical ! This moron can't spell Afghanistan yet she is writing an article about Jack and the authenticity of his al-Qaida tapes. 1. The "top military official" was General Gary Harrell, senior commander on the ground at Bagram air base, who has served in every major American conflict in the last two decades, including Grenada, Panama, the Gulf War and Somalia, and a former commander in Delta Force (a real one, not a fake like Cafasso). But this journalist forgot to mention that. 2. The "retired Special Forces soldier, and a longtime acquaintance of Keith Idema’s, [who] contacted CIA sources," is not named-- guess who? JOE CAFASSO- wow, this journalist is brilliant, we wouldn't have printed his name either. 3. Warrington, like Cafasso, is so full of shit that we want to puke. Did any of the journalists think to do a simple Google search on Warrington BEFORE they used him as a terror expert source? How about this one: http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies25.htm
Tom Hennessy Tracy-Paul Warrington, of Vacaville, says he was a student at Center Junior High in Simi Valley in 1971 when David lectured students about his experiences in Vietnam. "He went on to explain that he was in a Navy SEAL base camp one time and had to kill a 3- or 4-year-old child because she had explosives strapped to her body with the fuse burning. He went on to describe various operations; kill-or-be-killed, buddies dying in his arms ... You could have heard a pin drop in that classroom. The teachers were moved to tears." Warrington himself was touched, and he says David steered him toward a special operations career in the military. "It’s kind of ironic that a phony was one of the influences in my life and career," says Warrington. Warrington is now a civilian software engineer. So, Warrington was a computer geek in 2000, more than a year before 9/11, we now know the closest he got to the War on Terror was playing videogames at home on his couch. Now, how about this one: "MILITARY ORIENTEERING Tracy-Paul Warrington CWO (retired), US Army Special Forces discribes [sic] the basic needs of orienteering skills as a member of Special Operations Forces. 7 July 1997." So, now we know the computer geek was trying to tell everyone what an expert on Special Forces he was almost ten years ago. In fact, it gets better-- if you really want to know what a pitiful fraud Warrington really is, spend a little time on Google, but for now, you get the idea. The following quote was
submitted by Tracy-Paul Warrington
Sounds like Warrington knows how to be a weasel... |
EXCERPT FROM A DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LETTER JACK SENT REGARDING CAFASSO & ARTIS: This letter was sent to the US Department of Justice just two weeks before Jack returned to Afghanistan. Jack already had a Court judgment against Cafasso and a pending lawsuit against Artis. "March 27, 2004 H.
Marshall Jarrett, Counsel Civil
Rights & Civil Liberties Complaints Albert
N. Moskowitz Dear Sirs, ... One example is Mr. Joe Cafasso, who was written about in the book The Hunt for Bin Laden. Mr. Cafasso claimed to have been awarded three silver stars and to have served in combat with Delta Force. He also claimed to be Colonel in the US Army Special Forces. However, Mr. Cafasso’s military records show that he had only 47 days of service, and was discharged as a Private First Class, as unsuitable for military service. Mr. Cafasso apparently blames me for either his exposé in the NY Times (attachment #1) or his subsequent exposé in The Hunt for Bin Laden (attachment #2). Mr. Cafasso has written numerous borderline insane letters (attachment #3 as one example) including writing one of these letters to [the Department of Justice]. Another example is Mr. Edward Artis, who is also working with [an] AUSA to falsify charges and implicate me in fraudulent conduct. Last week, Mr. Artis admitted under oath in a deposition that he illegally wore valorous military medals, such as the Bronze Star and Silver Star, and that it was just a simple mistake and/or simple misunderstanding, and that his claims were simply “bar talk.” Because Mr. “Sir” Edward Artis has used a phony knighthood, and worn phony medals to promote his private fundraising activities, and to solicit donations to his “non-profit” organization, it is in fact Mr. Artis who should be under investigation... These same two individuals, have also told the US Attorneys Office that I have supported and helped terrorists, including that I am associated with and working with Gulbideen Hekmatyar, a “known associate” of Osama Bin Laden (attachment #3). This is almost comical, if not treasonous, and certainly illegal (intentionally providing false information to law enforcement authorities). AUSA Kocher should be more concerned with Mr. Artis and Mr. Cafasso’s illegal wearing of military awards for financial gain, then their patently false and completely ridiculous claims against me. Yet AUSA Kocher and her office appear to be taking these ludicrous accusations as true. And, there are other examples, which I will provide on request. Both, Cafasso and Artis are being sued by me at this time... Sincerely, |

Actually, this picture is of Joe Cafasso, but they look almost the same- sloppy fat rotten teeth liars usually do have similarities, and Artis, Cafasso, and Hagler could go go for twins. Bill Hagler calls himself a diamond in the rough. Wow, that is benevolent. Hagler has been convicted of dealing narcotics (cocaine, although he was also a heroin dealer), credit card fraud, and spent several months in jail for the attempted extortion of a bail jumper. He is currently in bankruptcy (his lawyer is Paul Faison Winbourne in Raleigh, NC) and his case is currently before bankruptcy judge Thomas Small also in Raleigh, NC. Hagler is working hard to avoid a lengthy jail term for IRS tax evasion, since he hasn't paid taxes in about twenty years (drug dealers and conmen rarely do). Hagler has been repeatedly brought up on charges by the North Carolina Protective Services Board for impersonation of a licensed private detective, a police detective, and a lawyer. A simple call to the NC State Agency, and a simple criminal records check in Cumberland County would have divulged all this, but apparently, Stacy Sullivan was too enamored with his style and stories, and Mariah Blake was too busy being given a tour of Fayetteville by Hagler to check out his background, or perhaps, that is why they used him as a "unnamed" "confidential" source. Hagler, at the request of Thompson, Artis, and Blake, met Jack's wife and got her drunk on vodka and Zanex (and some diazepam for good measure) then recorded her and tried to use the recordings to blackmail Jack's 84 year old father, and blackmail his wife for documents he could sell to these journalists and Floggin the Simian. Before Hagler became a much sought after press source and man about town, he spent his days repossessing cars for Centura Bank, but eventually, they repossessed his car and so the party ended. From there he started filing slip and falls, ranging from suing a friend for falling down her stairs, to suing insurance companies for fender benders. Anyone that wants background on Hagler can call any Superior Court Judge in Cumberland County, NC. Another good call would be to the Cumberland County Attorney, Mr. Doug Canders. Hagler made his big stake in life the day he murdered an old woman, then made it look like he found her dead body, then looted her estate (he even took her dead husband's clothes). |

A full brief on this former State Department official is coming soon. Sandra Ingram concealed evidence and actually requested that Judge Bakhtyari find Jack and his men guilty to show the Muslim world that the US was not going to allow Iraqi abuses to continue. Ingram concealed torture by the NDS, falsified documents, and paid bribes. She is currently involved in two US Federal Court cases in Washington, DC for her actions. Her files are also the subject of Federal FOIA case in Washington, DC. |
All full brief on this former Taliban Prosecutor is coming soon. There is plenty of news about him in the case section of the website. Dawari is now under investigation for selling confidential files and evidence to Maxim Magazine and can be expected to face arrest once the new Parliament takes office in Afghanistan in November 2005. Dawari was accused by Afghan newspapers of taking bribes and violating the laws of Afghanistan in October 2005. |

"The kidnapped victims were found hanging upside down..." A full brief is on Lutfullah Mashal is now up on the Breaking and Hot news sections. Mashal has now been fired and is facing criminal charges for a wide range of illegal activities. He has currently fled Kabul and is believed to be hiding somewhere in Kandahar. Carlotta Gall of the NY Times called Mashal an unreliable source who has repeatedly lied to me in the past," or words very close to that. Still, Gall and the NY Times failed to tell their readers this when Jack and his men were being falsely accused of torture. Minister Jalali, a US Citizen who ordered Jack's arrest, has also been fired and fled Afghanistan in September 2005 to avoid criminal prosecution. MORE HERE |
Richard S. Erlich: Out for illicit profit Maxim Magazine relied on a source, who, like most sources, requested anonymity. That source was Richard Erlich, a Washington Post freelance reporter, who said that Jack operated a operated a tour guide service during the war and recounted a story about how Jack asked him for $100 in return for a tour of an al-Qaida base. That is utter bullshit. In early December 2001, Taliban and al-Qaida terrorists stopped, and murdered, four journalists on the road from Kabul to Jalalabad, in the vicinity of Serobi. Journalists still wanted to go the front lines. President Rabanni’s Chief of Foreign Intelligence wanted journalists to see the plight of the Northern Alliance, how they needed aid, food, uniforms, medical supplies, and help. The GOVERNMENT sent a convoy of journalists to Tora Bora. They were the typically cowardly type that write their battle stories from a hotel a hundred miles away. They didn’t trust the Afghans to safeguard them. Jack was asked to lead the Afghan soldiers on the convoy. He did. He was paid nothing. He accepted no money from anyone, and any journalist that says he received money, or was given money, or paid money to him, is a liar. Furthermore, the $900 the journalists did pay was to drivers and cars ($150 a day for a car and driver during the war), and for the security teams food (Jack paid for his own food). When journalists and Afghans got in disputes over drivers, 4x4s, etc, Jack told them he wanted to stay out of it. The only time he got involved in a financial dispute is when some Taliban guys tried to roll several of the journalists in Jalalabad, and he interceded with a machinegun to resolve the dispute. This particular false story about Jack getting paid for a tour, is more Urban Legend bullshit. At the forefront of this myth is the lie Richard Erlich, concocted about Jack charging him a $100 for a tour of a captured al-Qaida camp. Jack told Erlich he should give the soldiers guarding the base a bag of rice since they were not only breaking the rules, but they were starving. Rice then, like everything during a war, was priced through the roof, at $88 a bag. "The cheap bastard wouldn’t do it, so I paid for the bag of rice myself," Jack stated to other journalists that day, one of which was Award winning reporter Elizabeth Neuffer, who wrote a story for the Boston Globe on January 13, 2002 (READ STORY). It is interesting to note that Neuffer never once mentioned anything about this "shakedown," and she certainly would have had it happened. Jack did however license photos and video to CBS among others, and used the license fees for humanitarian aid projects and medical supplies, which was well documented. Erlich was pissed off that he couldn't get the al-Qaida pictures for free, because Erlich was trying to steal Jack's photos and sell them to the Washington Post for his own profit. |

A brief overview of her conduct includes the following; Ms. Blake traveled to North Carolina where she engaged in fraud, deception, misrepresentation, and theft, among other illegal activities. As an example, Ms. Blake met with Master Sergeant Thomas R. Bumback in Fayetteville. During that meeting both she, and another man, William John Hagler, a convicted felon and former drug dealer, misrepresented to MSG Bumback that Jack had given permission and authorization to disclose confidential information to Ms. Blake, and authorized the release of private and confidential documents. This was a misrepresentation that resulted in the use of fraud to obtain property under false pretenses. This, as her lawyer will confirm, is a criminal offense under North Carolina law. To make matters worse for her, she decided to steal documents off one of the desks, and got caught. Look to see a warrant in NC issued as soon as Jack returns. UPDATE- APRIL 2005: Blake and Sullivan are being subpoenaed to appear in sworn depositions and a California Superior Court is issuing commissions which will force them to testify under oath. Another victory for the guys ! |
